Bud Hopkins fifth book, a fine memoir, has a title I am very fond of: ART, LIFE, and UFOs. That about sums up the last few minutes, eternally. It's painfully emotional- and passion-fueled writing by an elderly man.

Rich Dolan's long-awaited UFO's and the National Security State vol.2 was a welcome addition to my library. His two books are a great start if you have no idea what is going on in that area of Earth, but I must admit that the forward to Vol.2 by Linda Howe is slightly unnerving. (Aside, her 3 books Glimpses of Other Realities 1+2 and Alien Harvest are beautiful classics but a bit has changed since then...) Jacques Vallee's forward to vol.1 helps them stand solidly regardless. Good tomes.

A couple Peter Sotos books are a fine read and gives you something to think about regarding human trafficking and the seedy foreskin of humanity. Some people think it's all mostly cut off. But at least there's some more evidence of Franklin Cover-up-esque lifestyles tied in to underground and pop culture. Thank you Mr. Sotos for being so shameless with your big idiot mouth. See ya in NOvember...

Nice notable shout-outs to the library additions include Terry Hansen's "The Missing Times" (intensely and legitimately documented; scary) and Bruce Rux's "Hollywood vs. the Aliens". Both great books nearly around a decade old with terrible graphic design that are fine compendiums of interesting information. Also picked up Dan Sherman's "Above Black" book which reminds me a bit of the Bob Lazar story mixed with Cathy O'Brien and just sort of tossed "out there" into the ether for someone so inclined to inhale.

That's it for books, although I should say that after the small festival at my house a few weeks ago, I found a book on my shelves where I would have hoped another would have been. Did someone do an anonymous trade with me? It's possible I think but I don't feel their collateral was sufficient. Though I can't seem to place which book they stole so...

So what else? The personal lives of the collective are alternately drowning and walking on water. The cats are playing the chimes. The rivers are being dredged. Love is dead. We're too lazy to shave or eat. Hatred is exhausted and we're consumed by the capitalist daily drudgery. I hope you find us someday and give us a soft place to sleep.

"King Maris Day" LP has had a handful reviews, mostly written by individuals of questionable literary talent. That's fine. Thursday Mourning let me he got a copy; lord knows how but that's funny in my eyes! The jokes on everyone who takes it too seriously without seeing it for what it is. The design is beautiful.

If we want to continue talking LPs, I recently obtained the RRR-1000, Sewer Goddess LP, some Sinatra Records that survived the war, and a live EARTH lp. I scored MB's "symphony for a genocide" album real cheap but i wasn't too into it. guess i don't get it. i suppose i could've listened to it louder but I didn't. Hospital, kind of releases great artists' music but not their best work? Maybe that's too critical. It's still a beautifully executed machine.

Also cranked out a lot of Chuck Berry and Roy Orbison to listen to at work. Good times. And I've been cry-i-i-i-in over you. Come on.

The news is boring, the whole 21st century is boring. You're not doing good by waiting for something to happen. Things only happen when you make them happen. So figure out what you want, and want to do, and DO IT.

Are you reading this? Of course not. By the time you get here it will be long gone. A courtesy call. The ten minutes of your time you so generously afford. The routine you amble in and out of. Thanks a lot, really. It means so much to know that you'll let us creep in to your world in the blink of an eye. Squashed against the bottles of hand cream and lye on your bathroom shelf. Total luck. Just DO IT, I say. Throw the phone into the river.

Don't let your life be consumed by media and emotion as I have. Set yourself free of the burden of breath. You'll be better for it and I know you'll do just fine. No, not you- YOU. Over there. Yeah. That's right.

Here's a recap of about 1/25 of the fun in the Union court.

Tim Sheldon & David Russell

Cave Bears (did it all wrong but it was so right?)

Abortus Fever (forever)

No Sound (teddy boy!)

SERVITOR (mind blowing tension, as always)

These dudes were just hanging out in the back room goofin off!

J+J as Rev. How fitting!

I had a dream the other night that I found some weird Greg Sage record at Turn It Up! somewhere. The press blurb on the rekkid said "Makes Atrax Morgue sound like flannel!" and I'm not sure what that means but Turn It Up! in Eastworks closed today and Atrax Morgue is dead! Just like grunge!! Uh...

Did you catch the latest "Graveyard Shift" CD-R series on Radiopros? No? Of course not! Featured since-lost recordings of fat worms, people getting naced, nomadic packs, words with no vowels, and that fine baking lesson given by Radioactive Prostitute some years back. Heard one of these discs ended up in Michigan? Ok... all 13 of them!

Toying with the idea of going to the Mindshift place tonight, but it's some Woodstock video jam and the fact is I can't fool anyone of you by pretending as if I'm having 100% fun with the idea of hippie Woodstock skinny-dipping idealism. That's why I live in the Valley, right? I'm late anyway!

If you happen to read this and care, shows I've performed at recently include Dubious Liftings IIIII in Greenfield, MA (sandwiched right in-between Matt Valentine / Erika Elder and the Bunny Brains; go figure!) and CHAOS FIRST festival at U-Mass (alma mater). These festivals were not particular aligned to coincide with the 40th anniversary of Woodstock that people seem to be riffing on at the moment, and they were merely marginally as well-attended, but the modern festivities were better because I WAS THERE. Isn't that my bottom line? I'm not in your face for a party or the-usual-gettin'-to-know-ya-chit-chat I'm just leaving my house to see a fucking rock'n'roll show. And sometimes I like my rock beat-less, atonal, dissonant, catastrophic, and free.

Dubious:

CHAOS FIRST:

Now I'm late but that's neither here nor there.

PS:
SEPTEMBER 5 at the UNION COURT MEETING HOUSE in Easthampton. Apparently a man and woman have been running this show for ten years in various states and they seem to be into some of the same stuff that I am fascinated by.

Michael Mannion is the guy who runs it. When I googled him, the first hit I got was a court document regarding a restraining order placed against him by an ex-wife in the late 1980's, and the next hit was an interview conducted with Mannion by Robert Dean, a former USAF who has been claiming for decades that the aliens are here and we're up shit's creek.

as my friend Mike said, "sounds like your kind of people." And he may be right. I attended the center only once so far, watched a screening of a lecture by former Apollo astronaut Edgar Mitchell, followed by an audience discussion that fortunately ended before it veered into the territory of group therapy. i kept my mouth shut as i did not have much to say without getting a feel for the lay of the land, so to speak. there was about 15 people there, a pretty good turnout i felt. i may continue to attend these events, as they are free and offer a new set of faces and ideas for my amusement.

OH NO!

It's been almost a year!

What has Radiopros been up to?
